The Tennis Coach Congratulates
Player of the Month
April
Alex

Alex has made
major changes to his game in a very short time. It has taken 1 lesson a week for
a couple of months, plus about 3 hours a week practice to achieve his technical
goals. The main thing Alex has
going for him is his ability to comprehend exactly what you want from him and
his ability to mimic any model (and to laugh and smile a lot). He has
learnt to:
- Use
a eastern/semi western forehand grip (not a full western +)
- Initiating
early prep phase on the forehand.
- Eradicated
stop at the back of the forehand loop.
- Accelerate
at both ends of hitting spectrum.
- Cock,
lock and punch volleys.
- Stay
side-on with his backhand slice.
- Minimize
the downward forward path on slices to stop the chopping action.
- To
keep his elbow up in the “trophy” position on serve.
- Slow
down the serve take back.
- Hit
certain speciality shots like drop shots, dinks and banana passing shots.
This is a lot of stuff for a youngster to digest and
I'm quite flabbergasted at his ability to learn. Well done Alex
